    AOD dipstick length

Bob, I have had the filler tube out a few times with my AOD. I typically use a minimal smear of Ultra Gasket Sealer on the o ring just for safe measures and had not had a leak. Thanks, Jay

    Clutch pedal removal

If you remove the four attaching bolts for the column, it will drop down enough for you to access the two nuts to remove the spring bracket. Remove one bolt completely and loosen the other and rotate until spring tension loosens and remove. Be careful of the spring !!! Thanks, Jay

    Clutch pedal removal

I just took my pedal set out last weekend and yes its much easier if you remove the steering column. There are two 5/16" bolts with 1/2" heads and nuts holding the assist spring retaining bracket to the assembly. I just added the "Mustang Steve" roller bearings to the clutch rod while I was in...

    surging while cruising

I am remembering (dating myself again) an issue back in the early eighties, that the fuel tank surge canisters had issues that caused surging. Of coarse, if all the factory emission control devices are still attached. Or possibly the tank venting or lack there of. Just a few thoughts...

    Cool 29 Ford in garage.

Kevin, When I was building my Model A in the late 90's, I looked at hundreds of cars at shows and climbed underneath a lot of them. I found many that I would not feel comfortable driving them home or even a couple of blocks.... I feel that once mig welders became cheap and plentiful, everyone...

    Her 72 Mach 1

Here is my answer to suspension removal for rebuilding. Its a couple steering type Harbor Freight casters and some 3" steel channel iron. Worked well for me and I even moved it on and off the trailer for sand blasting before and after. Also, I suggest the "DazeCars" spring compressor and built...

    Safety Inspection Time...

No inspection required with historic / QQ plates in NJ either. Another benefit in NJ, I still have a hard time believing it, you only pay the initial registration fee and they renew them for you forever and are you ready FREE !!! I am sure that some liberal bean counter will figure this out...
