Brake lights and horn don't work, help!

I’m not an expert, but those pictures look like the signal light and 4way hazard light relays. it has been some 30 years since I replaced a brake light switch ,but it looks like this....and if I recall it correctly is attached to the brake petal under the dash (when you depress the brake petal...

    Door hinge

If I recall it correctly, I previously saw a YouTube video from “westcoast classic cougars” on the process to repair. Not sure how old the video was, but they also indicated that they had an inventory of used OEM hinge parts and outlined the repair/replace process. I suspect that some of the...

    Greetings from Downunder

Welcome from Alberta, Canada nice ride Patience Is key to doing those types small fixes/upgrades, at least in my experience everything took way longer than I originally planned. But we’ll worth it in the end. good luck

    All accessory Power

To double check ....Are you certain that you have the correct sending unit? The idiot light sending unit and the gauge sending units are completely different. the idiot light sending unit is just an on /off switch and will come on when the temp reaches the trigger point, whereas the gauge...

    The “correct” fan shroud

My 2 cents based on my understanding/experience. For my 72 mustang (302 CID without air conditioning) it came with a smaller fan shroud than the 302 with air conditioning.  I think the 351 might be the same situation. I ordered in a new repop fan shroud a couple years ago, but it was too big...

How to store a car properly over the winter!

Your wife is far more understanding than mine....not that my car would even fit into my house (as I barely have room in my oversized double garage) .....great idea, and it seems to fit well..   :)

Trying hard to not make this political

Ok....but how do you get the classic car exhaust rumble out of an electric motor? im sure someone will find a way...but it’s that rumble that makes the classic car, in my opinion

    WTB: 1973 Rear window handle

You looking at going concourse? if not, I believe Scott drake and other guys make repop’s of the window cranks. I had a set of the ones pictured above original to my car...but the plastic was all coloured and breaking off. I bought a set of repop’s plastics but they would no fit over the...

    All accessory Power

iVR (pulsing power or ~5-6 volts that comes out of the IVR) IS required to run the OEM temp gauge, oil pressure gauge and gas gauge (I don’t think anything else).  It’s as simple as 12 volts power coming into the IVR, 6 volts coming out.... BUT do not forget that the long metal attachment of...

Pictures as promised...of the back of the gauge cluster...but I stand corrected...the IVR is on the tach side (picture #2

    All accessory Power

So here is a picture of a printed circuit (courtesy of Epay), the connectors are on the tab hanging in the middle of the circle the tach and non tach printed circuits are different. the tabs to connect the IVR are built in and part of the circuit.

    All accessory Power

That is exactly the part. Instrument voltage regulator (IVR). It is supposed to be screwed onto the back of your gauge cluster (on the speedometer side of the cluster...unless someone along the way butchered up the wiring. if I remember correctly, the printed circuit on the back of the cluster...

    All accessory Power

Captain obvious, putting his two cents worth in on the issue. just double checking, as you didn’t mention it in your post If I recall it correctly, assuming you are running factory gauges, I believe the temp gauge needs a voltage regulator (IVR) (attached to the back of you gauge cluster) so...

    Mustang Sisters

Well I’m drooling.....and jealous, as I am partial to the blue colour tones. I have always loved the mustang fastbacks....don’t kick me out, but for full disclosure,  I have always wanted an older fastback. :)

Mexican 302 block, pros vs cons & opinions

In an attempt to learn more.... When I had my motor pulled a couple of years ago, I was told I had a Mexican 302 block, but didn’t think too much about it at the time.  Within the last couple of weeks another member posted a link to the www.MustangTek.com website. When I was exploring the...
