    Questionable life choices...

Thankfully by decoding and using @detritusmaximus ‘s unbeatable secret code from New Zealand…it went right in. (Facepalm)

    Questionable life choices...

Was wondering why it said "straP droF lanigirO" on the back. Looked great in the mirror anyway. See what I did there?

    Questionable life choices...

Ugh.....for ***** sake. I think Tom is right. I don't even have the words right now. Was so focused on getting it in that it never even occured to me. Yeah....I'm going to go quietly into the night if thats indeed the case and never come out. lol

    Questionable life choices...

So I am posting this in the exterior forum rather than on my build post...because I need some honest assessments about what I believe to be is one of my "for **** sake" moments. And the fault lies in two options: 1) I bought something I didn't do proper research on, or 2) I am not skilled enough...

On a separate note, trying to make space for all the refurbished pieces...now my patio looks like Pauls Hot Part Lot. lol.

The engine was not warm, as I didn't run it today or prior to taking the video. I'll back it off and see if that makes a difference. I will also check if that open hose is pulling vacuum.

    1972 Mustang Coupe 302

Update 11/18. Most likely am going to call in my mechanic at this point to see what's up. Took her for a drive for about 45 minutes..no change....ran rough...again choking to almost a stall when you come to a light, runs and has power when you're on the gas...but otherwise struggles when...

    1972 Mustang Coupe 302

Sunday update 11/17. Did all the new fuel lines, did all new hoses, got the new gas tank in, filled her about half a tank with new gas, sending unit seemed to be fine....but no major change in terms of running. You can see for yourself she is still speening up slowing down....seems to be...

    1972 Mustang Coupe 302

Agreed. Anxious to get back and finish it next weekend to see if it solves my running issues. Can't imagine it won't. If not, the only other thing I can think of would be a vacuum issue. But we'll see.

PBR and The Amazing Technicolor Paint Job

Yeah, I'm aware. But as mentioned, I'm replacing all those parts with new ones, as the old ones were in pretty bad shape. So in this case, I wasn't worried about masking them.

Switching back here to my build thread....just an update for today 11/10. Made some progess today gang. Headed out for a week to Phoenix for biz, so tried to get as much done today as possible. - look ma, no holes. - Took care of all the small rust holes and patch areas and sanded and primed...

PBR and The Amazing Technicolor Paint Job

Managed to get the majority of the sanding done on the right front and door yesterday. As you can see, I'm slowly working my way toward that back problem window. But progress is progress. The holes in the lower edges are being handled on todays schedule. You'll see that I only sanded those areas...

PBR and The Amazing Technicolor Paint Job

Thanks pal. I'll do some research on this. Didn't get into this yesterday, got sidetracked, and considering this is the first time I am doing this kind of replacement, I'm procrastinating a little admittedly.

Ultimately this is the color goal. Although the hood will be black. That being said, I should be done sanding it by my 90th birthday. It started raining here now...so moving in inside to tackle the fuel tank / line swap out...which should be a treat.

PBR and The Amazing Technicolor Paint Job

Somebody was quite undecided about what to do with this thing over the years and sanding this has been a *****. If this thing had a crayon sharpener in it, I'd have the Crayola 64 box.

Please do my friend. Definitely would like to attend. I have a build thread on here as well if you want to follow the progress. It's slow and most likely boring, but its progress. best - PBR

Parts For Sale Exhaust Manifold Pair $150

Just out of curiosity (not for Nancy per say) but just a general question for the group. Are these prices I am seeing for some of these old parts realistic? I can tell you that I know my current exhaust manifold pieces which are on the car, don't look much different (if not worse) than this and...
