Great pictures of the mustang at the car show! You’ve really done a nice job on it and glad your getting to enjoy it!! The white with black accents really look classy on that car. I sometimes think my grabber blue 71 is to bold at times 🤷‍♂️

It’s amazing the little details and something so simple as installing the honeycomb panel and taillights can be so gratifying on a project like this ! I always loved this stage of a resto to see all your efforts start to come together. It’s also great motivation to me to keep pushing on to...

I debated on doing my lower accent color before I hung the doors and fenders but decided to do it once all back together. I’m glad I did it that way imo? I left the strikers off the quarters so I could tape it all up and have the doors open and close so I could get complete coverage inside the...

Awesome to see you have it in color! The white looks great! Looking at your pics reminds how much work and effort it takes to get to this point but it will be well worth it when done! Your doing a fantastic job and the paint and body work look top notch. Keep posting your progress here...

Your project is coming along nicely imo.. 2 years into all the work you’ve accomplished doesn’t sound like a long time to me especially if your just doing this in your spare time? Also have to factor in your job/family and other projects that get in the way! Keep up the great work and stay...

    Grabber Blues?

Here is a couple pics of my 71 that I painted in code j Ppg 2230 concept. This was done in 2021. There seems to be a couple slight variances of the j code grabber blue depending on the paint co./ newer tints used etc. Ive owned mine since 1983 and I Painted it in Ppg lacquer back in 1986 and...

I like the white with black stripes combo on these cars myself. Don’t blame you for wanting to replicate your high school car! That’s the whole reason I made this last post. As I was putting mine in winter hibernation the other day I thought about how when driving it this summer almost took me...

Putting the mustang in hibernation for the winter months here soon. I gotta say I really enjoyed having this car back on the road this summer. It was so enjoyable everytime I got to drive it and so far after 500 miles I’ve had no issues other than a vacuum plug cracked on the intake vacuum...

Yea it did . It had white originally from factory but when I bought it in 1983 a previous owner had dyed it all black. All the dye was wore off the piping on the seats and the headliner and sunvisers were all spotty and not fully covered with white dye. I parted out another 71 probably around...

    My 71 Build thread

Flashback to then and now.. Found a old picture of my mustang from 1986 after I did the first repaint (semi restoration) on it. It was a ok job for a driver type car in 1986 but as time went on I always wished I would’ve took more time and did a little better job overall. I was 21 years old...

    My 71 Build thread

Finally got to take the mustang on its maiden voyage yesterday. Took it for a couple small drives around the block to make sure all was good then drove it into town to fill with fuel. Put about 25 mile on it and felt good to be driving it again! First time on the road since 2002
