Pictures of neglect, my 73 coupe

Yeah, I'm pretty bummed. I've had some interest in the car, someone is coming tonight to look at it. I'll probably have to GIVE it away with all the rust it's got in the trunk. Oh well.

1973 coupe, 6cyl 3speed for sale, complete and original, $1200

My coupe is for sale. It is all original, complete and unmolested. Does have a rusty trunk area and battery tray. Doesn't currently run, but it did when it was parked. Engine cranks, but needs new clutch. Has new starter, points, condenser and coil. Interior is in good condition other than head...

Pictures of neglect, my 73 coupe

Well, today is the day that it comes home with me, RUST and all! I knew it was rusty, and although I was being optimistic, the reality is that the entire trunk has basically rotted away. It barely stays closed, since the trunk latch bracket is no longer attached to the floor, which is basically...

Need rollers to move my heap this weekend

Well, we are under way. Picked up some used tires for now. Tonight and tomorrow will be spent removing nests and moldy carpet. Brakes aren't frozen, which is promising. Next few weeks will be spent testing down to assess the rust issues. Need to get the head checked out and resurfaced. Not sure...

Need rollers to move my heap this weekend

I would take you up on that, where are you located? Not sure if the timing will work out but it's worth looking into. I really appreciate your offer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I'm actually just hitting the road from Sacramento heading towards Morgan Hill. My goal is to clean up all...

Need rollers to move my heap this weekend

Bru - Moving the car from Morgan Hill (south of San Jose) to Sacramento. I may just bite the bullet and go there, pull the rims off, take them to a shop and get some used tires for now. Not sure I'll find anything else in time.

Nick and Rick Learning as We Go

Great attention to detail! Love the progress so far. Incidentally, my wife and I recently moved to Sacramento and I'm about to bring my rotten old 73 coupe home to start dusting off the cob webs. If you ever need a hand holding a wrench, let me know!

73 coupe, time to fix and mod

Nice 73, keep up the good work. What are your plans with the trim holes from the vinyl top? Plug them up? or replace the top down the road?

Need rollers to move my heap this weekend

I have a tow dolly to use already, but I'll need something to be able to move the car around once I get it home, anyway, so I may as well get a set of 4. I'm sure I'll find something soon, the main thing I was unsure of was the backspacing. Thanks for the tip!

Need rollers to move my heap this weekend

Hi Fellas, I need to move my 73 coupe from my folk's place to my new place in Sacramento this weekend, and 2 of the tires are flat. Has been sitting for ~13 years, so I'm worried about dry rot and will be towing ~130 miles. Not finding much on the local craigslist, wondering what cars are good...

Pictures of neglect, my 73 coupe

Well my dad has a tow dolly, so I really only need 2 good tires I guess, but I don't want to risk using these old dry rotted ones for a 150 mile trip. Anyway, I'm trying to be frugal so that I can actually make this happen. This move cost a lot of money, and we're saving for some other big...

Pictures of neglect, my 73 coupe

Remember me? Probably not lol! But I do have an update. Realized that I never replied to this thread, but I did read all of your helpful comments. Well, the day has finally come. My wife and I signed the lease on our new house in Sacramento, about 2 hours removed from the more expensive Bay...

Pictures of neglect, my 73 coupe

I posted in the intro section earlier, but just got some more photos of my 73 when visiting my folks' place so I thought I'd share. I was sad to see that the once good-condition headliner has bit the dust, but other than that and a tear in the passenger seat, the interior is in better shape...

    Greetings from California

Thanks guys! I'm not even close to starting a resto, but just finding this site has already given me lots of ideas. I'm really happy to have found a forum just for the big mustangs. Always been one for the less common/popular cars. Cheers! I found a couple pictures from a while back. I do feel...

    Greetings from California

Hi folks, I found this site just futzing around thinking about my poor poor 73 coupe, sitting at my parents place for almost 15 years. Long story short, I bought it, brought it with me to college where it blew a head gasket. Poor student me couldn't afford to fix it, so my parents loaned me...
