    408 stroker build update

My 408 is running around 600hp with AFD heads and custom cam. I have a 900 or 950 Quick Fuel carb on it if I remember correctly. Been planning on going EFI when I put mine back together.

    408 stroker build update

That 750 edelbrock will not even come close to feeding 700hp. If you can afford to build a 700hp 408 Stroker you should be able buy the proper carb to feed it. Otherwise the whole motor will suffer.

    The hood seems too warped?

No I used PPG paint base / clear. The black was single stage SEM hot rod black.

    The hood seems too warped?

    Yes used original hood trim.

    The hood seems too warped?

The aftermarket hoods are not tack welded, just crimped around edges. Unfortunately I do not have any pics of it. I did tack weld when done, then ground most of it flush, then seam sealed the entire perimeter.

    General information on Car lifts?

Ok. I got ya. Yeah all my bags had Rotary on them. All the lines and cables had Rotary. So I assumed it was just Rotary budget brand. Which I’m fine with, it’s not an everyday use lift. It works great for what I am doing and it sure beats laying on the ground!

    Aftermarket Steering Wheel blues

I bought an aftermarket replacement one from Don at OMS. It was a prototype but very nice. I can’t remember who makes it but it was nice.

    General information on Car lifts?

I have a 12,000 Two post lift made by Forward, which is made by Rotary. I love my lift and especially since it’s the extended height model. 14’ tall.

    The hood seems too warped?

I pulled it off the car and laid it down on 2x4 and kept flattening it down till I got the curve I wanted. Aftermarket ones are not welded around the pinch seam underneath. After I got the arch I wanted, I tacked welded the perimeter.

390 tube headers on a 351C? Maximum confusion

If you want to use those headers, I would just take the car to an exhaust shop and have them custom bend a section for that area. Around my place that would be $100-150. They may even be able to squeeze an x pipe into that section.

I ran the fiber in my concrete also.

    Reproduction sheet metal

I would strip the ecoat off regardless. I don’t trust that China ecoat. I have found a lot of stuff trapped under it. Oil, dirt, rust, Ect.

    New Shop is 99.9% done

I just poured the concrete in my new 50x56 garage and it was around 45 yards. Price with labor was around $18k

    Paint shop Prison

Didn’t have many interior pics or trunk. The interior is all original other than radio. Car only had 40,000 mikes on it. We did swap out the after market steering wheel in pic with a very nice original. I didn’t have to touch the interior thankfully!

    Paint shop Prison

I painted one myself also. Home made plastic paint booth. Turned out pretty nice! New garage is going to have a dedicated room for painting. It does take a lot of time and patience to do it right. Can’t wait to do my car next.
