    New but not new

Welcome. That's a grand introduction, anyway. Best of luck to you on your build!

Hello my name GERMY from Texas, do you love my 1972 Mustang Fastback 351W ?

Welcome to the forum. It would seem to me that you're going about it correctly. If you're in Texas, the rear louvers will be a great asset! I'm in Arizona, and my louvers, although aftermarket jobs, keep a lot of sun and heat from wrecking my interior.

What did you do today instead of working on your Mustang?

Stared at my engine bay, until I got a call from The Damper Doctor. He said my Harmonic Balancer is going to come home starting Monday!!

Parts For Sale 1973 Cleveland A/C Idler Pulley & Bracket for sale

I have an A/C idler pulley and bracket that I removed from a 351 Cleveland. The pulley bearings are smooth, and overall the bracket is in great shape. I have included three pictures showing all sides of it. I'm asking $120.00 for it. I have other A/C stuff I'll post at a later date. Please P.M...

Good Grief- You can adjust THAT!

For every DIY-er who has an infuriatingly difficult-to-find problem in acceleration, I have found what the problem COULD be. I’ve had everything from my engine just flat-out die when I feathered the gas pedal to running fine with a little stagger that I just COULD NOT get rid of. Timing was...

Snape, Snape, Severus Snape (The Mysterious Ticking Noise)

Great idea Hemikiller. To my ear (through the video, anyway) it sounds like a valve train problem, or a tappet. I'd say try the brake-on throttle test, and see if it's something simple like an exhaust leak at a cylinder.

71-73 Non A/C Power Steering Setup

Thank you STANGLOVER and GIANTPRUNE. I have a factory AC, 73 Mach 1, and the Radiator is aftermarket. The power steering cooler runs through the Trans cooler ducting in the radiator. There is a secondary cooler for the Transmission. I am planning to remove the power steering cooler entirely...

    Rebuild Update

Holy Cow! Times have lengthened substantially since I had mine done in February of 2021! The Shop I took it to, Arizona Engine Rebuilding, was pretty busy, and they took about 6 weeks, to do this: PISTON'S & RINGS ROD & MAIN BEARINGS CAM BEARINGS (WHERE APPLICABLE) OIL PUMP TIMING CHAIN &...

    Tires-what could go wrong...

Now that tire age is moot, I have a story: Nine years ago, when I got my 73, it came with good looking tires, so I left them because there were other things to fix. In a few months, the car was reliable enough to drive across town to a friends restaurant for lunch. Upon leaving the restaurant, I...

71 Mach 1 Model Kit Builds

Okay, What am I missing here... I have been following this thread and every box claims to be a '71, but they all have color-keyed bumpers. Not chrome. Am I that far off the mark?

    Not concours but......

Here in Phoenix Arizona, just about ANY acid/lead battery will last no more than three years. The excessive desert heat just burns them out.
