    1973 forge aluminum rims

    who would of thought ? there must be a reason why there are weights on the rear drums.every body was saying it's coming from the front end.I got some really great mechanics now who figured it out.send pics soon.thanks again.john.

    here's the update on the vibration.SUCCESS! both rear drums were missing the weights,put on two new rear drums and the vibration is gone.had nothing to do with the rims or the front end.will post pics soon.thanks for all the input.

    here's an update on the vibration. they found one of the u-joints was tight when one way and free the other way,and  found a weight missing off one of the rear drums,about 5 oz. tried 2nd gear with high rpm's didn't have vibration. what ever is causing vibration is coming from something turning...

    that sounds like a really good idea.I told my mechanics about it and they agree to try it. someone else mention about a bent axle we are going to look into that to.thanks I'll let you know.

    new to this site so glad I found it. I have two sets of these rims,why is the center hub opening two different sizes.are these hub centric rims or lug centric rims.front end starts to shake at 50mph+. I put hub centric rings in the front but still is happening.i put on new tires,and balanced,new...
