    Here is my 72 Grande 351c 2v

If the 10-day weather is at all accurate next weekend I will be priming the car. The only thing left to strip is the top of the front fenders and tail light panel. On a side note, if anyone in western Washington needs a hood please message me. I don't want to scrap the original hood but I...

Parts For Sale Flat OEM hood, located in western Washington

Does anyone need a hood? I feel bad scrapping an original with no rust hood but don't have the space to store it.

Actually if you read further, the air gap uses 2v size ports to increase intake velocity.

Yes both the Edelbrock pro flo or a flat base with 14*2 filter hood closes with no clearance issues as I could shine a light through the vent in the hood to visually check both setups. Currently have a summit 600cfm carb on the Cleveland. The Killshot is within a 1/16 of an inch in height so...

    351c 2v 4 bbl intake options

If you have a NACA hood already, without the ram air, you can use the RPM AIR GAP with a flat base and a 14*2 filter or a Edelbrock pro flo https://www.summitracing.com/parts/edl-1002 if you like the triangular shape with foam filter. I actually just test fit this setup for my EFI conversion...

    351c 2v 4 bbl intake options

I have the RPM AIR GAP, while I like it, I must give the warning of it is quite a bit taller than the performer. If you have a flat hood be ready to have a fun time finding the right drop base for your filter. Which won't fit when you swap over to the sniper most likely. EFI throttle bodies with...

I just installed yet another set of front seat belts.

Thank you both for the responses. I definitely don't want the aggregation of a constantly locking retractor. Just saw the 8 inch sash and it sounded perfect. My wife is petite and hates anything touching her neck so the longer sash is a must. I'm 6'1" and just happy when my head don't touch the...

I just installed yet another set of front seat belts.

Has anyone tried this set from Wesco? https://www.wescoperformance.com/3poresebewil.html 8-inch drop sash, and multiple seat buckle options. I may just order as 70 something dollars will be cheap if they work.

Replacing battery mount area of fender skirt

I got the battery reinforcement from him a few months ago(September 2023), awesome guy and a great part. I believe he is the only one making that part. His email is [email protected].

Local pickup only, no rust, does have a few dings. The paint was fully stripped on the topside as I was planning on keeping it but needed more clearance due to the new intake manifold. Overall in great shape. Make me a reasonable offer.

Ok, the new hood from Summit showed up it is an OER hood. Summit had the best shipping price of only $185 versus everyone else at 300-500. The hood fits pretty well. I need to do some more adjusting but I think the curve of the hood is pretty close and can match it up shimming the fenders...

No, was thinking about it but it is in really good condition. Also the headliner is perfect so I can't get to the vinyl trim retainers without ruining the headliner. I have a half inch belt sander I am going to use to try to remove the paint up to the vinyl top. First I need to remove all the...

    Here is my 72 Grande 351c 2v

Not too much done today, took the car off the jack stands to move it over a bit. My garage is too small and I had to make some more space to keep going on the driver's side. Stripped the area above the trunk and a bit on the driver's side. Trying to keep making progress every day, so when I...

Started stripping the paint and made my initial post in the introduction section https://7173mustangs.com/threads/my-name-is-rob-here-is-my-72-grande-351c-2v.44547 . As this will be a huge project, I decided to move over here to the project section. The order of this project is strip paint...

I bought the Bauer harbor freight version of the Eastwood surface conditioning tool which is about a third of the price of the EastWood including the extra warranty. I highly recommend it. Can't imagine how much sandpaper I would go through using an sander. Plus this thing goes through the paint...

Thank you for the link. I knew there had to be a way to make a thicker felt. Still think someone should build the correct part. The ACP grande felt(has chrome strip) was 150. Would gladly pay more to just get an actual repo part, but I will follow the link and make my own. Again thank you for...

Yes I will be painting it myself. First of many projects on this car. List goes strip paint, paint, EFI conversion, then replace FMX with TKX, replace stock 2.79 rear with 3.55 tru-trac. I should make a project page honestly.
