1973 sports roof rebuild need some help

Posting my build so far,

Replaced roof off of a donor car, mine had the vinyl top and someone decided to weld a huge chunk of steel over the roof and it looked terrible.

Having issues with the NPD quarter panels not fitting right , the rear of the panels radious is way off, going to slice it and hopefully get the right radious,

Rear NPD crossmember too short where it meets the tail panel, might have to make it 1/4 inch longer.

My 17 month old son peeking into the quarter for laughs!!

Any tips on the quarter panel fitment? butt or lap weld, I can do either but lap might help keep the right curve to the panel.
