Just my 2 cents on instrument cluster. I had mine out to replace bulbs with LED's and of course the copper traces on flexible circuit board is quite tarnished. So I cleaned them with 2 methods. First I used a q-tip with a tiny tiny dab of Simichrome polish on it. The Simichrome makes a slight chemical reaction and Q-tip is just right friction without damaging the board. If that method doesnt work then very fine 400 or 600 grit black sandpaper. Whichever method go lightly! Especially on the contact ends where the main harness plugs into back of cluster. If some of your small copper traces come loose off the flex board, use a tiny dab of old fashioned rubber cement (contact) on a toothpick and apply it, and clamp it and let dry overnight.
