Hopefully I am beginning to see the end of my restoration for my 73 Mach 1......may be more of a pipe dream as I am sure it will continue to be a cash cow as long as I own it. I have been holding off building a fire in the rebuilt 351C until the exhaust system was installed. Since it will be coming home soon, I still have one issue I would like to fix before I fire it off. Hindsight being 20/20....I realize I should have taken more pictures BEFORE I broke it down.....but..... My question has to do with one or two of the small line vacuum connections. Schematics I have found lead me to believe I have the FMX transmission dual vacuum connected properly. What escapes me is the two line connection located on the heater source hose (no A/C), how it connects into the scheme of things. The other bothersome connection is the solenoid controlled small air line. All diagrams I have seen show 2 of these solenoid valves, but I only can find 1 in the engine compartment. It would probably work just wonderful without all those connections, but want to at least try to do it right. It is my understanding the water temp air control valve in the water pump connects to the transmission and allows better transmission shifting while everything warms up. Any past experiences.....suggestions...recommendations would be deeply appreciated.
