G'day Austin from another Aussie, you come to the right place,

more info on our cars here than one man knows what to do with.

Cheers

Welcome to the site from Virginia from another 73 Convertible owner.

Looks like your convertible has some nice upgrades such as the earlier Magnum 500 Wheels and the NASA hood. Looking forward to seeing more pictures and hearing more about your convertible.

Hello Mike (Ole Poney),

Thank you heaps for your warm welcome.

Your '73 looks like a great car indeed.

Yes, the new wheels make a difference and i will be upgrading to a Nasa hood very soon with hood locks.

I'll provide more info as time permits me.

Hi Austin and ::welcome:: to the forum from Luxembourg/Europe.

Nice vert by the way.

WELCOME aboard, Austin!

I really enjoyed reading the "history" of your 1973 Convertible. It is great that you were able to obtain so much information. it also sounds as if it might have been purchased as an investment, since that was (at the time) the last year for the Mustang Convertible and it was obviously well taken care of over the years. Great find!

Please take some time to become acquainted with the different Forums and don't hesitate to "post up" on any thread which brings additional questions to your mind or on which you would like to provide further comment. We also have a little exercise we try to do each week called the "Weekly Fun Question" which might interest you. Here is the link to the "specifics."

Hi Cobra,

Many thanks for your warm welcome.

As to the purchase. you might be right, but in a written statement

by the original owner, he says he was on holiday and his car broke down,

he stopped at a local Ford dealership, saw the '73 on the showroom floor

with the top down, fell in love there and then, and traded his beast in for the Vert, and drove away with a big smile.

I will as time permits, get more involved with posts and forum interaction,

and would like to put up more photos and background stories of my adventures.

All the very best, Austin. PS. Love those wheels of yours.

and kind words as well.

I hope to jazz up the old girl

It's true, the 71's to 73's i reckon, are sex on wheels.

Austin.
