MSD Digital 6A Ignition Controller 6200 and all cables

Stupid questions about it... translation problems???

-Alternator, do i need also a regulator or just hook up on the harness(see pic.)

-startmotor, do i need also the original solenoid on the front inner fender apron(see instructions/charts "Summit racing)

Thanks,

Eddy

Hi Eddy,

The alternator shown in your photo would not use the original regulator, it is internally regulated.

The starter COULD be wired in without the original solenoid. The simpler way is to use the original solenoid as an additional relay. You would move the heavy cable from the starter side of the solenoid to the battery side of the solenoid. Then a heavy wire ( I used 10ga.) from the starter side of the solenoid to the start terminal of the starter's solenoid. I hope that makes sense.

Thanks for the info,

-I was confuse about the pic. the old alternator has a cross-over stripe and the regulator not...

-About the startmotor, I use the solenoïd as additional relay.

-I'm use also a Flaming River Big Switch Battery Dis-connector just for the certainty, you will never now with old parts(and easy use in the winterperiod).
