Kid got the house

Well after an exhaustive search and many frustrated viewings, my daughter decided on a house. Then came offer and compromise, all the lawyer whereto's, forthwith's and whereas's, title company, survey, taxes, and insurance, and finally closed on the thing today. My little girl now owns a 3000 sq ft, 2 story victorian that sits on 1.08 acres right in the middle of town for one heck of a price. Now comes paint, electrical, plumbing, move that wall, change this door, and all the other good stuff that I get to do for her. And at the end of the day...I wouldn't trade it for anything.

No garage but I have a 28x36 complete with bathroom, heat & air, cable, surround sound, fridge and a 35 pound pug in my back yard so it's all good

They can be a pain for sure. This one was in a trust between 4 brothers, a judge, lawyer, land title and trust guy, and a (quote "lawn care specialist"...his own title. So 3 out of 4 of these guys were very meticulous for details

Luckily my Daughter married a carpenter!!! But I have been called on from time to time for electrical and plumbing!!!

OH my gawd ...first I've worked for 40 years and I dont have a 3000 sq ft house!

My kid rents a home 11 miles from my house in Florida... the husband doesn't know anything about houses and neither does she....they make about 134,000 together. Wont buy a house wont even take a daddy deal at ONE HELL of a discount on my house there...11 miles away from their work.

I think next I'll invest in GoLD ...Walmart and Exxon and bring them ALL TO THEIR KNEES!!!!!

I bought my measly little 1200 sq ft house 21 years ago for [get this] $28250.00 and thought $277.00 a month was a high payment...LOL...now my daughter buys more than twice the house on twice the land at 1/3 of the interest rate for $100 more a month...exceptional deal...but I must admit she has forfeited her youth for prosperity in education and insisted on doing it herself. I am very proud of her accomplishments and will gladly help her in any way my decrepit body will allow.
