Well, this turned out to be quite a trip! The car was exactly as I left it when I picked it up in Nampa, Id. On the way down to Canon City Colorado.

The ride was smooth all the way, from Eden, Id. to Rawlings, Wy. That is when I found some road debris from the recent 48 car pile up that had recently happened.

Scratch one aluminum wheel, and 235/60/14 tire, that had lots of life left in it.

However, as there is NOTHING between Rawlings and Laramie, I had no choice, but to slow my roll from 70 MPH to 17 mph. Then, as the tire got worse, the last five miles or so, it was only 7 mph. I'm glad it was an aluminum rim, other wise there would have been lots of sparks!

Thankfully, on this trip I got the insurance for the contents of the truck and what was on the trailer, and am now looking for an estimate to get the car repaired to its before the flat condition.

Another couple of pics, as this car is really growing on me...

This stupid thing is really starting to grow on me. I had a 71 or 72 coupe, back in the 80's, that I flipped for around 600 dollars. It was a similar blue car, but that one had a 351C in it.

I still don't really "have" to sell it, but would feel better if it went to the right new home. My Cougar's are my first love. If I hit the lottery though, I would keep this one!

Several years ago, I saw a 65 fastback mustang on a flat bed trailer, completely in pieces. The guy wanted around 1400 dollars for it, and I thought that was CRAZY!

It was a 6 cylinder car, IN PIECES. The definition of a basket case.

That same car today, is worth in the mid 20 thousand dollar range. My car has got to be headed in the same direction. I am hoping to sell the car to a guy like myself, with a young son or daughter at home, who wants an easily driveable car, they can enjoy restoring. Oh well-maybe I can get some of my money back from the insurance I got for the trip.
