leaking automatic transmission fluid not sure where it is coming from. Not sure what transmission I have. Car came with a 302 2bbl and I believe still original transmission.
I was told it might be the O ring where the transmission fill tube tits into the transmission.
Trying to find DIY video on how to replace the O ring or the whole fill tube with new O ring.
I have attached a picture that shows the fluid drips in one spot and pools into another place. I just happened to look at my drip pan Monday 09/17.

Pretty simple ,
Drain fluid from pan
Unbolt dipstick tube from bellhousing.
pull tube straight out.
remove doing from tube.
clean tube
install new oring & lube (important)
Slide tube back into transmission ( do not cut oring )
Reinstall mounting bolt.
refill transmission with fluid.

Not sure why you are recommending draining the transmission fluid since the tube itself is not filled. However, the dipstick tube could be very difficult to remove since it may be cemented in place with age and corrosion. In that case, draining the trans fluid -- which can only be done with factory transmission pans by removing the pan and letting all 8-9 qts flow out from the partially lowered pan -- and then removing the pan will allow access to the bottom of the dipstick tube. A small block of wood can be used to tap the bottom of the dipstick tube to push it up. A new pan gasket will be needed (cork recommended)
