Ok, so on to the next step in my project, I want to remove the doors, hood, front quarters, yada yada. Is there a good post somewhere, or a really good book on the teardown, bolt locations, etc? All the books I've looked at focus on the 60's models.

If your panels have decent alignment you should do this BEFORE you tear down..If they aren't aligned to good NOW is the time to align everything..Then index mark..

Thanks, current fitment is not perfect, but I will keep this in mind.

I second getting a Ford Shop Manual, body section.

My current SOP is when I tear down, I copy each page out of the shop manual onto 11x17 paper(1 page each), and then I make notes on the side as I take apart. I keep track of how many bolts I took off, what size socket needed to take it off, and the baggy number the bolts went in....baggies are numbered in order as the stuff comes off.

Really helps when I put it back together 3+ years later. Other than that you are on your own....

Like you hood cutouts...what happens when it rains?
