i just got a 1972 softroof from a family member. all it needs to start is a battery and ???? (i dont know what goes here) here is where you come in. can you please help. please see picture.

a metal tube is pressed in there for your heater core, a lot of times they will rot off.

If I am not mistaken that should be where the hose for the heating system connects.

if you would be lucky enough to actually find one in the yard you most likely will destroy it trying to remove it. im sure someone is reproducing it but im not sure who exactly. im sure someone has run across this issue and will chime in to heip ya out.

well you could but you still gotta plug that hole. i suppose you could go the cheap way and tap a pipe thread in it and just plug it, and later on just thread a small piece of pipe in there to connect your hose. cheapo way!

here's what you need...Just get the right size tap the pump install with jb weld on the threads..
