I managed to get an original set of 1973 14”aluminum slotted wheels originally available only on the ‘73 Mustang but fit other earlier models as well and had them polished. Some were missing the center hubs and none had the long lug nuts. My research has found that some center hub caps have red centers with the Mustang emblem and some have black centers with the Mustang emblem.
I’d like to know which are the correct center hub caps- red or black centers.
I’d like to know the specifics of the exact size and shape of the correct long lug nuts for these aluminum wheels.
I’d also like to know what lettered and/or red stripe tires were used by Ford in 1973 other than the Firestone Wide Ovals which Coker has for around $400 ea. and if anyone has them for less than Coker.
Thank you.
Tom
