Windshield wiper switch on the dash

Hi everyone,

Wiper button:

The little black electrical cable on the switch is this extra grounding/mass or is this cable inside the button connected.

Unfortunately, it is broken off.

If this extra grounding/mass is, than can i connected anywhere on the metal of the button ...

Glove box:

Can some one give me the dimensions of the cardboard inside the glove box, inside my car is this total missing ...
