According to what I can find on line and my door sticker the color of my 71 Mach 1 is Code 3 Bright red.
I am trying to find out the best place to get touch up paint bright red.
Any suggestions?

Find a local auto paint supply shop that has a scanner. Red is known to fade, so short of having it matched by an autobody shop, the scanner is your best bet to get a close match.

Thank you
I checked on their website and 3 is called poppy red.
If I remember awhile back maybe 4 years they called bright red.
I got small bottles, 1 of the color and 1 of the clear coat. Both were very thick.
Would a paint pen be better. I have small touchups. One that is always needed is where the hood up by the windshield
When it closes nicks the fender. I try to be careful but when I watch out for one side the other side gets nicked.
Does anyone know if the pen line of paint is thin like a sharpened pencil?

I've used automotivetouchup.com with good results. Here in Texas O'Reilly Auto Parts can mix some up for you, also.
I got small bottles from them in the past. I got 1 of the color and 1 of the clear coat. Both were very thick.

You can order a touch up pin to do the job. If the touch up paint and applicator you have are too thick for the job, you could use a toothpick to apply the touch up paint. The thickness of the paint should form a ball on the tip of the toothpick and allow you to precisely apply it to your nicks.

I also got paint from them in the past, it is thick.
How much thinner should I use for an airbrush

A second on the scanner approach. Anything you order from anyplace will be the original formulation for the color. Unless your car was painted in the past year, your car is no longer that original color. Shop around for a body shop that will provide your color in an aerosol can if you need to cover an area larger than a chip.
