For the money, the TKX is a much more durable transmission than the T-5.

The metal chunks are likely from the cam gear.

My steel lines are the original ones. The car has always been an Arizona car, except for a trip to Alaska in the 1980s, and they all are working fine. I flushed them once, because the master cylinder's rubber seal was bad when I got it, and a bunch of sludge filled the bottom of the reservoir.

What Can you folks suggest for a Front brake upgrade for the disk brakes? Sticking with 15 ' Rims

If you have factory front discs, then just freshen up the parts. The factory disc brakes are pretty good. If you want to upgrade from there you can check out Wilwood <https://www.wilwood.com/>.

If you have factory drums, check out Wilwood or Leed Brake <https://leedbrakes.com/>.
