It kind of reminds me of a old 78 Lincoln Town car I owned, it had a vinyl top and port hole windows too, lol.

    Head Removal

I reuse head bolts all the time on older Ford engines, unless they are rusty, have pitting or damaged. The head bolts on a Cleveland will pull the threads out of the block before you break a good head bolt. The tensile strength of cast iron is less than steel. This is why you torque a bolt, to...

Best way to remove grease and oil?

I use the cheapest laquer thinner I can find, a small container(like a old coffee can) to put it in and use a cheap horsehair paint brush to clean oily parts. I would also advise if you do this to wear chemical resistant gloves and be in fresh air. When I am done I just leave the thinner in the...

    2 barrel to 4 barrel

Believe it or not, but I got 22 mpg with two 500 cfm four barrel carbs sitting on a 289 backed up by a BW T10 four speed trans and 3.35 gears. This was highway driving and my foot out of it, if I smashed it down then it went to 6 mpg or worse, lol. It was all in the linkage, I had a progressive...

73 front and rear valances free

I have a 73 Mustang front and rear valance that somebody can have. They are by no means perfect and do need some work, but they are not destroyed by any means. I will post some pictures in a day or two.

    better then bondo

I had 50 pounds of body lead, with the paddles, tinning compound, files and butter. I sold it on Ebay a few years ago, it just wasn't worth the risk to use it. When I went to body school back in the early 90's they still taught lead work. I doubt if they teach lead work anymore as it can cause...

72 Coupe Roof section, Radiator Support, Steering Wheel

I don't have a good radiator support or steering wheel but I do have a roof, the only problem is it is in Colorado.

    72 Grande Parts

The radiator support is trashed and the steering wheel was missing from this car when I bought it. I don't have any headlight trim rings, they were also gone when I bought the car. The consul was busted up in this car when I bought it, it was a shame.

    rear axle seal

If it has the Daytona pinion support it won't have a crush sleeve. You might be able to put it back together without resetting the backlash, but it would still be iffy. You will most likely have to pull the differential and reset he backlash. Check this site to see if you have a Daytona pinion...

seat difference between 71-72 and 73 Mustang

To the guys who say they have retractable seat belts in there 72's could you post a picture of your rear seat platform. I am curious as why my 72 has a flat seat pan for non retractable belts.

seat difference between 71-72 and 73 Mustang

Then this most likley only applies to Coupes if your 72's vert and fastback have the retactable rear seat belts. I put a red circle around the raised area on my 73 Coupe. My 72 Coupe does not have this raised spot, it is flat.

seat difference between 71-72 and 73 Mustang

This is what I found out this fall why you can't use 71-72 rear seats in a 73 Mustangs. This applies to coupes, but I imagine the convertibles and fastbacks have the same issues. The reason being that there is a difference is Ford changed the seatbelts in 73. I don't know if this was a...

Zinc Rich Engine Oil- Strictly Provide What You USE

Two years ago I broke in a Lunati Voodoo flat tappet cam on a 302 and all was good. The cam was not to aggressive but it was big enough to cause concern. The first thing I did was get more moly paste than the little packet that was included with the cam. I bought a tub of Isky Rev Lube and lubed...
