    Fuel Line Attachment

Arthritis is a ***** and as a friend of mine says, 'growing older isn't for sissies'. I find I do appreciate the basic things in life a bit more and can't wait to I get MY red car on the road and drive it around with my top off. Good to hear you're still happy. Vern 🏎️

AUSTIN VERT'S NEW REVERSE CAMERA PROJECT

On the 73 there is a black with purple striped wire that comes up from the transmission, through the main junction box under the dash and then down to the reversing lights. This wire is powered when reverse is selected on the gear selector. I need someone to splice their reversing camera system...

    Fuel Line Attachment

I'd like to thank all of you guys for your input. If it wasn't for you I would have done something stupid like drilled them out or worse cut them off with an angle grinder. Even better they come with a couple of little rubber hats as washers for the holes. :giggle:

    Fuel Line Attachment

Thanks Guys, I'll get into them with my separator and let you know how I go. I kinda like them and would like to put them back if they are in good condition. Like Spike says, "kinda ingenious"

    Fuel Line Attachment

I was removing the fuel line from underneath the car and came across a number of attachments as in the photo. I tried to twist the knob on the top with pliers and got about 20 degrees. Didn't want to put any more pressure on it for fear of breaking something. Has anybody else come across fuel...

    Draining tank

If you take out out the sender unit check the filter at the end of the intake pipe. If its been there for awhile you may need to clean or replace it.

What's the deal with small plastic parts costing an arm and a leg?

I needed a fuel tank emissions canister and thought I was a winner when I found one for 50 bucks. Set to work and the red ring is the first hole I spot welded. Took me about 2 hours. Only another 420 holes to go. Can't wait.

    Fabrice's 429CJ 71 project

Always an inspiration Fabrice. If you are having back problems maybe you need to get yourself a work stool like this. If you are still having trouble, get the other one

    Bent cross member?

A really interesting solution. Talk about thinking outside the box. I just took a photo of mine in situ and it seems to be a little less prominent than your galvanized pipe. It is a little bit recessed from the front and chamfered on the top. I'm just wondering if its like that to facilitate the...

    A Pretty Dumb Question...

My rear window does not have any zips. Someone must have taken them out and sown the glass straight into the fabric. Its a pretty good job; no leakage.

    Buzzer

I doubt my seat belt light and buzzer would work because someone took out the pressure pads. I was just wondering if it would be worth putting a capacitor in the auxiliary ignition position to the light. I'm thinkin the light would flash (meaninglessly) for a few seconds but everyone would get...

Comparing the before and after's I think there is a massive improvement. I'm hoping I can do half as well. Or maybe you would like a holiday in Auss.
