    Early 1971 Fastback

Car is (??) ready to drive, or so I thought until the transmission decided to regurgitate all of it's fluid in the driveway. Waiting to have the trans rebuilt. So I can do some little things like leaf spring bushings.

    subframe connectors and speed humps

I am in the process of determining which way to go. Since I have carpeting and insulation, I was leaning toward Global West. However, looking at this setup, is there a GAP at the back end of the connector and frame?

    Vermillion or dark red interior?

Yes, I am aware of the color and black stripe. Since my car isn't original and it would be too difficult to put back as such, I was perfectly fine with the red/red stripe. Especially for 60% off! I also plan to change the color to a candy merlot instead of the pewter metallic. So I guess my car...

    Vermillion or dark red interior?

I have the same problem. Late '70s build date in a 1971 car. Vermillion interior. First picture is about the only decent interior seat left in original color. Second picture is the seat covers I was able to find in OEM for 1971. It is more darker red.

rear seat trim & rear seat covers

I put mine together and yes, the seam shows. As far as I am aware, this is factory. On the side pieces, I posted a question about my concern that the top seat section wasn't the exact width. From the responses, this is factory. So I had some extra black material from another project that I...

    Door hinge

Actually, I was going to try that, in a manner of speaking. I thought about taking the fender off. Get the door where I want it and strap it to the car. Then do one hinge at a time. Call me crazy, however in my muddled mind, it might work and save me the time and hassle from pulling the door...

    Door hinge

Yes, as stated above. The best option would be to keep your original hinges and rebuild them.

    Unknown Trim Pieces

Absolutely. I just bought some and installed them. Front door pillar, connected to the bottom of the weatherstrip channel. Then the weatherstrip screws into the pillar below the end of the trim

    RUST OLEUM...UGG

Same here as Johnny57, the 2X covers well and flows nicely. You may have some finish on the metal/material that sanding won't take off. Try degreaser or maybe lacquer thinner to wipe it down. If you are using another primer or sealer, it could be that as well.
