home made from square tubing, no issues at all and work an absolute treat, can hardly see them and cost me 2/5 of bugger all. great mounts for the traction bars as well
 
The only time I hit my subframe connectors is when I misjudged an island curb and ran over it. The subframe connectors acted like 'rock slider bar', just got scratched a bit and probably saved my rocker panel from being damaged. The header collector tube was not as lucky.

I'm home with bloody covid so I can't do much else but research stuff. I came across this website:

I hope you get feeling better soon. I doubt you would go wrong with these. It's a pretty common technique for making subframe connectors for Fox body and SN95 Mustangs. Plus, you can select heavier gauge tubing if you make your own.
