    1973 Grande' will not start

If you have a VOM, find a helper, turn the key to start and see if you have voltage at the starter solenoid, on the small terminal on the l/h side (called the S terminal). It should be the same as the battery voltage. If nothing, the problem is between that terminal and the ignition switch. If...

    CJ Pony Parts shipping rates

I’ve noticed that price differance as well. But for me, and I can only speak to my experiences, so far, I haven’t bought a part from NPD or WCCC that I regretted buying. Absolutely cannot say that about CJ. I also live 97 miles from the Ventura Ca NPD warehouse. And, for what it’s worth, most...

Exhaust cutouts, very nice. Are those allowed in Canada?

    Power Window Problem

While I’m no power window expert, when you plug in an electrical item and the fuse goes, you have a dead short. I suspect one of the rear switches has a dead short. You can test them by seeing if the power wire to the switches shows an instant ground, using your VOM. Others more knowledgeable...

Interesting So Cal 72 Coupe Project car

Yea, @Hemikiller, I was thinking the same. I wonder if these “K” members can be had for traditional Ford engines of that era?

1973 Convertible Project: Undercoating Decision Time

Well, hoping to get back to the car by the end of the week. Home in Az undergoing new flooring, so am banned until that’s done, but expect that to be done in a few days. Once I get the interior treatment finished, now that I have more rust treatment supplies, I’ll be putting the car on wheel...

1973 Convertible Project: Undercoating Decision Time

After a long illness, my father passed at 94. I’ve been in Texas since the last week of Sept taking care of family and preparing my mom for living without him. So, as others have the same experience, car stuff has been on the back burner. Before I left for Texas, I was able to start on the...

    Fixing the el cheapo shrinker

Just an observation, but I believe the surfaces that contact the metal work better if they have a rough finish to bite the metal. It appears (I maybe wrong) that you’re added a finish to those surfaces. If I’m wrong, I apologize. I would add the roughness back if possible. Good luck.

    1972 wiring diagram

I second @Doug's 73 Mach1 recommendation; I think that’s the best for visualizing routings, connectors, etc. Good luck, take it slow.

    Brake Booster Install

Can you post a pic if those installation instructions regarding the drilling? Usually, when you do a front disc brake conversion, you replace the existing master cyl because the front disc master has a larger brake fluid bowl. Good luck.

    1972 Convertible resto mod

Just to respond to your question on the vapor recovery, I believe it’s one of those systems that work very well and there are only downsides in deleting it. As you said, not a daily driver, so more needed to vent the vapors since I suspect it will spend time garaged. Others more knowledgeable...
