Gents, I need to replace the castor rod / strut rod end bushes on my 72 Mach 1. I managed to get the castor / strut rod off the lower control arm and out of the bushes. Windshield washer pipe through bonnet. Broken off

Guys, While working in the engine bay looking for the engine number, I managed to break off the windshield washer water pipe that goes through the grommet in the bonnet. (Darn it). My question is.. Is this a grommet that a small length of pipe runs through, or is the rubber bung part of the...

David, Thanks for the info. I will remove the old crappy speakers and install new ones that don't look to modern, if I can find any. Brendan..

David, Thanks for the info. Most appreciated. My Marti report does not list any seat belt upgrade or battery upgrade. Now to find out where the square button belts came from. As for the hub caps.. Yes I have been warned about the lugs being broken off. I will probably remove them before I...

What did you do to your car today?

Replaced rear shackles, replaced rear shockers, repaired / replaced bushes in the auto trans selector and serviced. Located engine number on the back of the block. Fairly busy day but productive.. See my blog for more detail. https://72mach1mustang.blogspot.com/

72 Mach 1 H code - Where is the likely place for the body number stamped on the engine

Update.. Found it.. Needed steel wool and a bit of water. There is a square block behind the kick down rod (of the auto) on the block. A bit of steel wool and elbow grease and a mirror fixed the issue. Happy to say a matching numbers engine to the car.

72 Mach 1 H code - Where is the likely place for the body number stamped on the engine

PKJ, Thanks for the tip. Will have a look to see what I can find. At least knowing where to search will make the finding easier. Will use the phone in selfie mode to see if I can find it. Fortunately for me, no master cylinder and the engine bay, while looking a tad rusty, has minimal gunk...

Hey guys, Oh so many questions.. Im new to the 71-73 scene.. Per my other posts, I have just picked up a 72 Mach1 H code. From what I can tell the engine is the original one.  Where is the most likely place for the body number to be stamped on the block? Drivers side and the back or...
