Do you remember where you sourced this bottle from?
I haven't picked a bottle yet because they either looked too modern or too chintzy and your looks like a good option!
I have built my subframe connectors the way you have- through the floor. My thought process was it was worth all of the extra work because it adds so much more stiffness to the car than simply tying the front and rear subfames together.
The front and rear torque boxes are tying the frame rails...
Thanks for the updates!
Thats a lot of work to move the fuel fill.
So at this time the SCCA didn't have NASCAR-type fuel fills? Doing a dry break style in the quarter would have been a lot easier. Maybe its because the pit stops weren't consitently done from one side of the car or the other at...
I forgot to reiterate- somebody pointed out that if you added height above the spring (poly upper spring seat I think) the change in ride height will be greater than the thickness of what was added. This is due to what's called the 'motion ratio' which is ratio of the lengths of the lower...
Keep in mind that as you cut coils the spring rate will increase. Probably not a deal breaker but should be pointed out.
Your 302 with I assume an aluminum intake manifold is a lot lighter than a 351C with an iron intake.
Not sure about 351C pulleys but the dipstick tube is pressed into the block so no seal or gasket. I would think a leak where the tube goes into the block would be unlikely. What could be happening is the engine is becoming more worn out and excessive crankcase pressure is forcing oil vapor out...
I have heard two stories: one is that 'X's and 'Y's were used to repair tooling when it got old and worn and the other that the addition of the letters helped with material flow in the cores in the areas they were added during casting. I guess two ways of saying the same thing...
If you are...
I was looking for parts at All Classic Mustang (somebody else here had pointed me to their site):
http://www.allclassicmustang.com
And under the parts list for 71 they have a repro 429 fan shroud listed for $150 if you are still looking!
I don't recall specifically, but try hanging the front section by the front bolt only while trying to assemble the two rear pipes. I pulled the starter out to give myself more wiggle room.
I don't want to scare you but mine leaked like crazy at the slip joints. I had to pull them back apart and...
