    71' new front suspension installation

Honestly, i have ave no idea what would be the middle of the adjustment range. I could probably adjust the LCA’s all the way out and then back in half way. How to roughly adjust the strut rods I am uncertain.  Thanks

    71' new front suspension installation

Ty. Should I adjust the strut rods so that both Rods have the equal amount of rod measured from the rod adjusting nut to the LCA? Then should I tighten the struts down at the front of the frame? i will be asking the alignment shop to check my installation prior to alignment.  ty

    71' new front suspension installation

I’m not trying to get it right. I will be taking it directly to the alignment shop. I just wanted to verify if I was doing the install correctly in the way I was attempting to adjust the LCA to allow the sway bar link bolt to drop straight in.

    71' new front suspension installation

I've taken on the task of replacing my front suspension and steering components. This is something I have never done. Prior to disassembly, I failed to note camber adjustment location on the old LCA, or take a measurement of how the original LCA was situated to a structural point on the body...

    Strut to LCA connection

One other question. Should there be a spacer, seal, etc, between the pitman arm and the power steering box?

    Strut to LCA connection

I'm now in the process of rebuilding my front suspension and steering. I have included two photos of the strut I removed, along with the hardware that secured the strut to the old LCA, and the new LCA.  I am not sure the nuts securing the strut to the control arm are correct. With the distance...

Idler arms. Anyone use a Rare Parts 20250

Coming in on this thread a few years late. I purchased the moog idler arm for my car. The mounting holes did not line up. Has anyone found an idler arm that bolts up correctly without having to modify/slot the bracket, and is in the correct position and height to work with steering linkage? ty

    Radiator Shroud Size

After measuring between the clutch fan and radiator,it appears I could add a 2” spacer.

    Radiator Shroud Size

I removed the radiator today. It has a small leak. I measured between my clutch fan and radiator. I have a comfortable 2” between them. I will be installing a 180 degree thermostat and brass restrictor plate.

    Radiator Shroud Size

I’ve only had the car out a few times with new motor. Temp gauge stayed in upper portion operating range. I was concerned with the safety aspect of the exposed blades.  Is a clutch fan a bad idea. It was on the car when purchased.

    Radiator Shroud Size

    Radiator Shroud Size

My motor is a 351 C.  It was an ac motor. However, I deleted the ac. I purchased and installed a new fan shroud. With the shroud installed, I have over 50% of the fan blade exposed. The fan is mounted directly to the pulley without any spacer between the fan and pulley, or between the pulley and...

New Holley Street AVenger 670 idling problems

Just want to thank everyone for their assistance. The car runs well and sounds good. I have about fifteen miles on it. It's back on the jack stands to fix some coolant leaks, header gasket, and rebuild the front suspension. Thanks again.

New Holley Street AVenger 670 idling problems

I see my error. It shows firing order for 351and 400. Below that (others). I screwed up and used the firing orders for “other”. Idiot!
