Removed the anodizing with oven cleaner and steel wool. Polished with MAAS. Clear coat gloss finish from rattle can. New window guide clips. New weatherstripping. Compared to first picture in this post, much better. site to upload photos

I'm don't see myself going down the stapler road. I don't need it that correct inside the quarter area where it can't be seen. I'm still looking for the light to go off in my head though on the weatherstrip attach method though... Andy

So, a small rivet with the protruding side under the weatherstripping works ok?

My weatherstripping is stapled on also. Sounds like just glue is one method used.

Looking for methods used to attach new Windlace and the Window Weatherstrips to my rear interior quarter panels. Obviously re-stapling them isn't the easiest preferred method. What's the way to go?

While replacing my Weatherstrip Window Guides in the previous post, the foam tape on the back of the aluminum piece that holds the roof rail weatherstripping is destroyed and old. I noticed that the actual roof drip rail is just screwed up into position.  This is above the aluminum...

So I'm sure someone out there has replaced these.  It seems the best attachment method would be the flat type rivets that were used originally. I'm really only familiar with pot rivets which would protrude out to much. What's the best method? What has worked for you?

Oh, boy. Thanks, I think.  Kinda what I figured.  Sounds like a bit of work.  Maybe the only real option.  Paint is outta the question.  The anodizing either comes off, or sits there and looks bad.
