    fmx floor shift linkage needed

Thanks Eric, I opened it up today and was able to rotate the lever 180. It probably would not shift right with a stock shifter but since I have an aftermarket one it might work with some linkage adjustments. I don't want to put you though the ordeal of getting yours out if I don't need it...

    fmx floor shift linkage needed

I'm getting an fmx tranny ready for my f100 project. Apparently, it is from a column shift car so the linkage is different from a floor shift model. Does anyone have an old fmx laying around with a floor shift linkage( the linkage that goes through the side of the case) and is willing to part...

    Ford Aluminum Intake 351 Cleveland

Here's a post from another forum about your intake. Definitely worth keeping. The Boss 351 intake was a D1ZX-9425-CA. It was an aluminum dual-plane intake that took a spread-bore carb. ALL Boss 351s came with the "CA" intake. The intake you have (D1ZX-9425-DA) is an over-the-counter intake...

    Raising Seats

Just add spacers between the seat and the sliders with longer grade 8 bolts. Spacers between the floor and sliders would be too much work.

    Trying different wheels....

I agree with eddy. 17 and 18's don't belong on old Mustangs. Magnum 500's are my choice, but the slotted mags are fine.

    license plate light bracket

Send me a PM with your address. I'll send you the extra one I have. It's been sitting in my tool box for 13 years, I don't think I need it.

    FMX Transmission... cooler lines

I've got a clean fmx in my shed. I'll check tomorrow what that connection looks like. I believe its just a pipe thread into the case. I've seen pre-bent cooler lines in Mustangs Unlimited catalog for the fmx.

    front seat question

My 73 convertible had them as well. I don't remember them being 40 mm though, maybe an inch high. Both driver and passenger seats had them.

    351w- like/dislike?

Are you sure? I've never heard of or seen a 351W in any 71. In 1970 model year they changed to 351Cs so 351Ws can be found in them.

What's the skinny on unzipping the glass?

I've never unzipped mine. It's a 25+ year old top. I would be afraid it wouldn't zip back up again.

    351W oil plug locations

Just got my 351w back from the machine shop. I have the plug kit and have found the locations for the 3 screw-in plugs on the back, 2 press-in and 1 screw-in on the front and the 3/4" press-in on the top. The kit has another 1/2" press-in. Where does that one go?
