front seat question

hey guys and gals, just pulled front seat out of my wifes 72 convert, and found 40mm spacers and non grade bolts between runners and seat, is this a short persons fix or factory ( i doubt, but asking) i would have thought runners bolted to base of seat with grade 8 bolts, thanks for your knowledge

My 73 convertible had them as well. I don't remember them being 40 mm though, maybe an inch high. Both driver and passenger seats had them.

I'd think it would not be factory. If it were, they would be overly engineered.

thought so i will make a proper 25mm box tube spacer and get the seats reupholstered, went to the upholsterer yesterday said a rebuild it should lift it up about half an inch, thanks for the feedback
