    First start after long storage?

I'd follow Idaho Chris' method and pull the plugs and coil (+) wire. Pre-fill the filter a bit and you should have pressure in a few rotations.

Is there difference for front drum spindles on V8 cars and 6 cylinder?

Yes, bearings are the same drum and disc, Timken Set 12 for the outer, Set 13 for the inner.

    Oil pan replacement.

Same pickup for all 351C engines, so the baffled pan will fit fine. That pan is hard to beat for the money.

    Headers

The Hooker Comp 6915HKR are for 4V heads and slip right into place without any modifications or denting of tubes. 6921 is the 2V version. The passenger side 4V manifold was the same 70-74. The driver's side changed for the 71 Mustang due to the placement of the clutch Z-bar. 70 Mustang /...

    Parts Wanted Alternator Wiring harness

You need to move the black lead from the starter solenoid to the terminal block with the Black W/Orange wire. Right now you are essentially bypassing the ammeter. Your green wire is the Heavy Yellow #37C, it appears to have been repaired with an aftermarket fusible link.

The MustangTek website has the Boss 302 Chassis Modification booklet in the Library section. Lots of good ideas on reinforcing the unitbody. https://www.mustangtek.com/Library2/BOSS302ChassisMod.html

Is there difference for front drum spindles on V8 cars and 6 cylinder?

71-73 spindles are the same for 6 or V8. The only difference is the drum/disc variants.

    MSD repair service

That's good to know. I sent my 6AL in about fifteen years ago to repair damage caused by a faulty new out of the box voltage regulator. I was concerned with them being owned by Holley their "repair" department was simply a scrap dumpster.

I believe it's Gilbert Davenport that is reproducing the A-pillar trims.

Backup light harness - replaces the NSS. https://www.npdlink.com/product/extension-wire-back-up-light-switch/102124/203279?year=1972 If you want to go hydraulic, the Malwood pedal kit seems to work well from what I've read. The final cost will be similar to buying the complete pedal and z-bar...

    Boss color codes

If it has a 2F VIN, then it's a '72. The latest Marti Report I've seen is for a 7/28/71 build date on a 71 M-code Mach 1 - 1F05M228221. 7/28 was a Wednesday, so Ford "could have" run the 71s to the end of the week and then switched to '72 production. IMO, there was little if any changeover...

AUTOMATIC to MANUAL Conversion parts list

The trans crossmember you need is the "four leg" unit from a C-4 or manual transmission car. For some reason, parts places think these are made of gold, when it's the most common crossmember used...

    Steering linkage and bushings

Pitman arm (on the steering box) has an integral ball type joint, it's not replaceable. That bushing is for the idler arm (mounted on the pass rail), and yours is aftermarket so that bushing may or may not work. Factory idler arm had two rubber bushings, yours has one and a sealed joint.

    Steering linkage and bushings

Good move going with Rock Auto. Too many willingly pay a "convenience premium" buying standard maintenance type parts from a restoration shop. Sometimes, they're the only choice. West Coast Classic Cougar has a correct idler arm. Most places will sell you the wrong one...
