PBR and The Amazing Technicolor Paint Job

getting that primer off the handle, lock cylinder and front side marker will be a bugger. I would recommend first to remove those before priming or if it is a driver while work evolves mask them off. Please remember painting is 90% prep in most cases. Not trying to be critical just wanting to...

I suspect much like Steve indicated that they are alignment or fitment holes during the body assembly process.

Maybe a path to consider with your resto. You already have some of the parts and your picture of the end target made me think of this. https://7173mustangs.com/threads/1971-spring-special.31891/#post-429324

Back to reality from a great show. Weather was great and the show was truly impressive. I have never been known for being good at taking pictures. I try to spend my time looking and talking with folks and this show was no different. Saturday was the main 60 Years of Mustangs show and most of...

Yes sir that is full. Full of potential :) Great to hear you are moving along and congrats on the lift. Also look into the fiberfill in your concrete. It is a good addition for strength and I happen to know some of the guys at Buckeye Cellulose in Memphis that make it. No discount, but at...

I must admit I can pass on the loud music at shows as well. I do enjoy opportunity to meet new people and talk cars when possible. The small shows I feel keep the hobby real. Don't get me wrong please. the variety and caliber of cars at a concourse is truly impressive and to see cars that I...

    CJ Pony Parts shipping rates

This has been a very information packed and helpful thread. It is great to get feedback directly from the source (Rick) on the inner workings of the business and how they have established their guiding principles. All of these years of acquiring parts from Ocala and Charlotte have been well...

    The Mach-A-Reina build thread

Welcome. I also like the build name. Very catchy. You have found a great group to be part of. A very respectful family friendly group with a wealth of knowledge if you have any questions as the project evolves. I also like the white and black combo. If I win the lottery (NOT!) i would be...

    New Shop is 99.9% done

Man you got a deal. It would have been worth it for me to pay for your guys hotel room for that price. Concrete here is running $200+/yd and then add the labor. I had some quotes as high as 30K in the past. That is why I have been holding off so long.

OK don't bring up Studabakers. When my car was sold from the used car dealership I found it buried in the weeds at I then started looking for other cars and became sorta interested in an Avanti that was parked by a repair shop on the west side of town. It was on blocks and someone had spray...

I think the hood was an additional package item with the bubble top. I am no expert on them so I defer to insight. I just remember in Jr. High/Middle School there was one parked in a driveway by school just rotting away that I really liked and wanted to save until I found my mustang. You know...

It would be great to meet Rick. We briefly met at Charlotte way way back in 2014 at the 50th. Back then the paint was still drying on the car. Just Kidding. Both the paint and I have cured a little more in the showing process and I am really looking forward to this opportunity. I agree that...

I grew up in Kenosha, WI and my Dad worked for AMC and then Chrysler and retired in 99 after 40 years. The number of Javelins, AMXs, Rebels and Jeeps I worked on as a kid is crazy. Wished I would have kept some of those. Would really like to find a Mark Donahue SST Javelin someday.
