Door to body gaps are good, no glass so no idea how the top to the door gaps are yet. If it is a chassis problem, how would that get solved?

It was in storage for about 5 years with the top down. Not sure if that was the cause, but that is where it is now. There is no glass in the doors, so there is no way to check the window/top fit at the moment. The top is at least 20 years old.

Master cylinder is correct for disc front/drum rear, and bench bled so I think I am good to go there. Will try bleeding the lines more and see if I missed some air there. Calipers are on the correct sides and the bleeders point up. Think if I have an issue its residual air in the line or...

I was looking at getting some American Racing Torque Thrust II wheels for my '73 convertible but am concerned that the open wheel might look bad with drum brakes in the rear. Is this just a bad idea? Good idea? Just paint the drums?

Thanks for the great response. I still need to check to see if I have the balancer marked correctly but I did do some tuning by RPM and so far it is running. I may still have another issue, but will keep working on it.

Also, what is the difference in distributor vacuum advance canisters? I was thinkng of replacing the old one while I was at it and i see there a few that look the same, but that the '73 calls for the VC135. i see amazon has the VC25 and VC31 that look the same, are they all usable or is there...

Just to make sure, the timing place to look for is the flat edge on the upper side of the pointer?

I was able to wire brush it enough to find the timings markings and was able to get a small window to sight the timing gun through so I think it is set now. Still has a big hesitation when stepping on the gas that I'll have to work through. Will work vacuum next and then start poking the carb...
