Today is the 100th Anniversary of the Great War.

So lets take the time to remember all those who fought in it and thank all those whom have served or are currently serving our respective countries. For those who stand in my stead Thank You

The Ode of Remembrance

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

We will remember them.

We will remember them.

Ps. At least 1 member of my family has served continually with the Australian Defence Force since the 1899 Boer War,prior to that they where in the British Navy and where amongst the first free settlers in AU. So I know our freedom is payed for in Blood

+1 on Luke's post. Freedom is not free and it is good and right that we should remember those who have paid for ours. As a child I remember talking with a relative who fought in WW I in the American cavalry. His stories of gas attacks were both fascinating and horrifying. Luke, thank you for reminding me. Chuck
