2011 Powertour

So anyone out there want to share pics or experiences from the powertour this year. Hopefully next year I will get to do some or all of it.

My friend Mart and I drove to Detroit (and back home) on Friday... in the rain. It was a cool time, driving through small towns and people lining the streets. Every stop was a car show. On Thursday in Muskegon I watched a bunch of the Dyno pulls. A real nice Chevelle made 1337 hp at the wheels, I've never seen drag radials grow like a fuel car before. All I can say is WOW, I'm looking forward to doing more legs of the tour next year. I have some pics on my phone I'll download.

I was thinking I'd like to go next year a friend of mine did it this year waiting for him to send some pics...he did the whole tour from Coco Beach to Detroit

I watched for a couple hours just north of the state line in Tennessee, and then went up to Nashville for the evening. There was a 52 Chevy pickup with Georgia plates, a 572 and blower dynoing around 600 hp...

Sorry, I'm not much on packing a camera. I'll be with yall one of these years!

I took a trip to Prattville, Alabama, didn't know about the tour. When I got to the motel I reserved, the parking lot was full of classic cars...talk about being in the right place....

I got to hang out with lots of them and see several cars. One was a dark blue 72 mach same color as mine will be.

Interesting pic; is that a 73 with chrome bumper and hood trim, or a 71/72 with a 73 grill!

Yup, also the rubber fillers between the quarters and ends of the bumper.
