Hi all, has anyone had the pleasure of replacing the LH A/C vent on a 72 Grande?? Mine is broken and looks really bad. I've searched the web but was unable to find any reference for the replacement.  So, I was hoping that, by luck, someone out there in mustang land, had the displeasure of replacing one. There's no problem obtaining the vent, there are many sources. Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks. :thankyouyellow:

The louver vent section sits inside the housing by a tab on the top and bottom

You can use a small flat screw driver to lift the tab enough to clear its hole, on the top - then bottom, then slowly work it out

Not sure if the repro louvers are the exact same size - so do not know if they will fit the old housing.

Otherwise you need to remove your instrument bezel

4 screws for the steering column cover

3 screws for the trim plate on the side of the dash

5 screws for the instrument bezel  [ 3 on top 2 on bottom ]

You may need to lower the steering column to get the bezel out - sometimes they clear - sometimes not

Then you can replace the vent and housing
