Autolite Carb tags

As I've posted in the past, I've parted out several 71-73 Mustang over the years and I'm now cataloging and storing my hoard.

Has anyone seen or have a link that might tell me which carb tag goes with which carb? I know that D1ZF is for a Mustang and then is the revision code, but what are the numbers and letters on the bottom?

B 1F 14, B 0L 14, B 1F 6

The mustang and cougar tag book for 1965-73 models has some good information about carb tags. I got the book from the Marti website. Of the tags shown (and that I could read) the only one listed is the D1ZF HA which came from an inline 6 std trans, 49 states. I have no idea about the other numbers but have read that they indicate the date of manufacture?

According to my references, those characters reflect the following:

The first character is the Engineering Change

The Second character (Number in this case) is the manufacturing date code

The Third character is the Month of production

The Fourth (and Fifth, if appropriate) is the week

So, B 1F 14 would equal:

B - Second Engineering Change

1 - 1971

F - Sixth Letter of the Calendar (June)

14 - 14th Week of the Year
