I had 50 pounds of body lead, with the paddles, tinning compound, files and butter. I sold it on Ebay a few years ago, it just wasn't worth the risk to use it. When I went to body school back in the early 90's they still taught lead work. I doubt if they teach lead work anymore as it can cause serious health problems. They even taught us the finer points of laquer and single stage enamel, lol. I doubt if schools teach this anymore. The old man used the brush on tinning compound. When I learned leading I used the steel wool and powedered tinning compound. One thing I noticed is I didn't see him butter the paddle before he spread the lead, must have done that earlier.
