correct wiring sequence for voltage reg plug on 71

The voltage reg plug on my 71 mach 351 4V has:

F - orange blue

S - green red

A - 2 yellow wires

I - no wire

Is this normal to have no wire to terminal ‘I’. question came up when I wanted to install a pertronix 12v relay and had to put a diode on the wire to terminal ‘I’ but had no wire

Yes, the "I" terminal is used to energize the regulator/alternator on cars with ***** lights through the light and a bypass resistor.
