Crazy project?

Hello,

I know what I want for sure, a 71 or 72 Mach1, 4V engine with a mecanic gearbox.

Here not easy to find. So I wondering if somebody here in this site know somebody who deal with cars, I'm not afraid to buy a car from the States, untill I know I can deal with somebody I can trust.

Manu64 - When you say 4V engine , do you mean an engine originally equipped as a 4V?

There are many milder equipped (2V) Mustangs now running 4V carburetors.

To purchase an originally equipped 2V version should be a little cheaper. And it would be highly unlikely you could find any 2V car with factory equipped 4 speed. If you locate one - it was probably converted from the 3-speed to 4-speed.

By 4V I mean with the 4V heads.

My Grandé, says on the Marti report, that she came with a 4V engine, Q code. To me means that was with 4V heads, but I have some 2V heads, with a Holley 4V carburetor so I think or the engine has been changed by a H code, or the block itself is still the original and only the heads has been changed.
