Hi All,

A few weeks ago I noticed the passenger side foot well was damp. I lifted up the carpets and there was blue coolant on the floor panel. I checked the radiator level and it was low. Took 2 days to remove the coolant from the carpet and the under carpet. The heater core had given up the ghost. Managed to access it without removing the dash, by removing the glove box and fitted a new one from CJ's.

The fixing bolts from the engine bay had rusted solid.

Here's a picture of the old one.

Thats what mine looked like.

In a non AC car the heater box can be removed with out removing the passengers side seat, just the glovebox and duct work.

I removed the passengers seat for my backs sake. Yes it's not required but it sure made the job easier. I hate working under the dash.
