No, this is like a 3”x4”x4” sponge. I found it before I was repainting the original air cleaner snorkel. I do have the small air cleaner that goes to the crankcase vent. Thanks for replying.There is supposed to be a filter where the crankcase ventilation hose enters the housing - could it be for that?
Yes, I do have the vacuum flapper door. I came across this when I disconnected the snorkel to refinish them. I never new it was there, but I didn’t think it belonged in it. Thanks for your reply.No, you should either have the vacuum operated flapper doors or the honeycomb block off trim plates. Now that you found the sponge, though, you can finish washing the hood!
