Sorry for the delay in response I haven't had a chance to work on the car much but all the input is much appreciated.It is bored .040 over and plugs are Ap25. The heads are E7TE off a newer 302. Ignition timing was 12btdc at idle but not sure at 2000rpm since I took it apart before checking. One thing I failed to mention which in hind site may be an issue. I'm unsure of the state of the heater core so I have it bypassed using a hose straight from the water pump to the pipe in the intake.

bypassing the heater core will not cause a prob.
