Last year when I rebuilt my engine I spent time to bend the fueline from the pump to the carb. Did a good job and mounted filter vertical behind PS pump. LOOKS GREAT. HOWEVER.... always had to prime carb if car sat days between starts. Decided to remount filter horizonal along intake, and it corrected the filter from draining back and empting the line from carb to pump.

Mounting fuel filter in my case caused dry carb after sitting.

Good tip.

On my 6 cylinder the filter is horizontal, but I still need to pump the gas pedal a few times if the car sits for several days. Seems like it's always been this way over the years.

I just replaced my 7 year-old digital camera. I'm thinking about just leaving the old one in the garage so it's handy for spur of the moment pictures.
