Just watched this film last night. It really takes me back to what fast cars and owning and wanting a muscle car was all about.
The amazing thing, for me about this film is the attention to detail and continuity involved in the action scenes. I used to work in the film industry and I've noticed that action movies of the seventies usually have continuity gaps you can drive through, but Toby Halicki's direction and editing by Warner Leighton make this film SO rewatchable... aside from the fact there are so many cool cars in it, and ... Eleanor!

Love this movie....also in the camp of not liking the remake. It seems like everything has gone CGI....the animators have no idea of how to interpret physics with any sort of accuracy. CGI stuff looks like a video game.
