Grille center support

As others have indicated 71 and early 72 were the single bracket. I have attached several photos from my archive of before resto and after to help if needed. My car was a 12/71 production date.

I don’t know why mine had a gap between.it looks the same bracket as yours. Mine is a11/71 build date. The grille is aftermarket. I could have drawn it up closer but didn’t want to crack it. Everything else lined up well though.
